Parkour
Parkour is about moving your body from point A to point B in both the quickest and most efficient way possible - utilizing vaulting, wallrunning and leaping in order to maneuver the environment.
In Parkour at Action Arts, we create new environments every week using our shape mats and challenge students to maneuver through them by teaching various vaults, jumps and tricks to create a smooth "flow" through the space. Unlike other gyms, none of our equipment is made of wood - we use dense foam blocks that we arrange to re-create any environment to exact dimensions and can adjust the space for each student's height and skill level - just like a motion picture set. We also create custom environments to perform moves that we have imagined - leading to several First in the World skills performed here at Action Arts due to our ability to create the exact environment required to perform the skill imagined. For example, the "Flyaway to Spider Wall Wedge" skill was a World First move performed at Action Arts in 2025, and because of our arrangeable equipment, we were able to create the exact environment where this combination of moves would be possible to perform.
Our head parkour coach Andrew Neis, is a stunt performer in motion pictures & television. You may have seen him performing in games such as "Temple Run", doing leaps, slides and vaults. Andrew enjoys sharing his adventures and training kids & adults in parkour, health, fitness and fun!
